Buon Appetito!

In this tutorial I used a really fun kit called "Mangria" by
The chef is included in the kit.
Thank you Sarah, I really enjoyed playing with this kit.
 You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Horseplay's Pasture mask 10, here.

Font is 1 Snappy DNA, here.

Don't forget to sharpen up those elements after resizing as it makes them a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used sb_pmt_mangria_pp5.   Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 98% then go to Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_doily and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_frame 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_pp4 and copy.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper layer.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_knife and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_fork and paste as a new layer.  Resize also 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_spoon and paste as a new layer.  Again resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_chef and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow (there will be a gap between the bottom of the chef and the frame, this will be covered by the rest of the elements).  We will move the chef's arm when we have the rest of our elements in place.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_greenery 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_wine and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_wine glass and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_flower 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_basil and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_cheese and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_ribbon 6 and paste as a new layer.  Flip, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_garlic and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_parsley and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_tomato 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_pepperoni 1 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_mangria_mushrooms and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Close out all the layers that are above the chef so you can see what you are doing.  With your  selection tool, draw a rectangle around the chef's arm something like my screenshot below.  Hit delete, deselect and then right click on your canvas and "Paste as a new Layer".  The arm will now be on a new layer.  Bring this layer to the top and put it back in position on the body.  Re-open the closed layers.

Again, check the positions of your layers and when you are happy, crop your tag and add your text.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, you can email me here and don't forget to send me your result, I love to see them and include them in the gallery!
