Christmas Angel

In this tutorial I used the art of Barbara Jensen.
You need a license to use Barbara's art,
available at her store, here.

The kit I used is called "Frosty Flakes" and is by
This is a beautiful kit,  thank you Carita!
You can purchase the kit also at Barbara's store.

You will also need a mask, I used Vix' Big Mask 018, here
(its in Big Masks Set 2).

Font is AL Dreamboat, here.

Remember to sharpen up those elements after resizing/rotating as it causes them to be a little blurry.  Check out my tips and tricks page for more info.

Unless otherwise noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used pp3.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 95%.

Open el22 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%.

Open another of the papers and copy, this time I used pp5.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection.  Deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open el23 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, drag down below the frame and paper layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el19 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, place in position and apply the drop shadow but changing the vertical and horizontal to 2.

Open el8, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 70%,  rotate 90 degrees to the right and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow (remember to change the vertical and horizontal back).  If you are using one of Barbara's tubes, open it, duplicate it and close the original, choose your layer options and copy merged visible.  I resized my tube 70%.

Open el28 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55% and rotate 70 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow changing the horizontal and vertical back to 2.

Open el17 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65% and rotate 90 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow (changing the vertical and horizontal back to 5).

Open el24 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el14 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el16 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el29 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el20 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and rotate 70 degrees to the right, drag down below el29 and place in position, erase any of the chain that shows and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, you can email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery.
