Love of Nature

In this tutorial I used the art of Maxine Gadd.
You need a license to use Maxine’s art,
I purchased mine from My PSP Tubes but they are
now available at Creative Design Outlet.

The kit I used was inspired by this tube (10-1) and is by
The kit is also available at Creative Design Outlet.

You will also need a mask, I used Horseplay’s Pasture mask 11, here.

 Font is Tension, here.

Your elements will need to be sharpened after resizing/rotating as otherwise they will look a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used Paper03_IBgadd101_Schnegge.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 85%.

Open frame02_IBgadd101_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%.

Open another of the papers and copy, this time I used Paper06_IBgadd101_Schnegge.  Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and merge it down onto the paper layer.

Open Element06_IBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position on the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element07_UBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 70%.

Open Element15_IBgadd101_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75% and drag down below the merged layer.  Duplicate, mirror and flip the duplicate, place each element into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open Element13_IBgadd101_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Rotate 50 degrees to the left and place in position on the right side of your tag, erase the part that shows below the bottom of the frame and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element12_IBgadd101_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position on the left side and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element10_IBgadd101_Schnegge, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element 11_IBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element 03_IBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element09_IBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element02_IBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Element04_IBgadd_Schnegge and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, when you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, you can email me here and remember to send me your result, I love to see them and include them in the gallery!
