Kiss Me

In this tutorial I used the art of Elias Chatzoudis.
You need a license to use Elias’ art,
available from his store here.

I used a brand new kit  “Gaga Irish” by
There are loads of elements in this kit and you can get many
tags from it, I loved it!
You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams’ mask 565, here.

Font is Water Street Detour, here.

Remember to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating as it makes them a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2, opacity 80, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 550 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open one of the papers and copy, I used SkyScraps-GI-PP6.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E64 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 85%, move up and to the right and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E73 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 65%, move up and to the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E60 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, move up and to the right, erase the bottom of the stalk, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E63 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 85%, place in position on the left and apply the drop shadow.

Open your main tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E50 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, drag down below the tube and place in position.

Open your tube again or the close up if you have one and paste as a new layer, mirror, drag down below E50.  Select the interior of E50 with your magic wand and expand the selection by 5, position the tube inside, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.  If your tube doesn’t cover totally the interior of E50, before you deselect, make a new layer below the tube and fill with a dark colour.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E11 and paste as a new layer making sure its just below the main tube.  Resize 75% and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E62 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers so far.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E68 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E70 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E24 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E23 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E25 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and place in position.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E5 and paste as a new layer.  Mirror, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E6 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E7 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E1 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E32 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E66 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 20%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place both butterflies into position and apply the drop shadow to both.

Check the positions of your layers and make any final adjustments.

Open SkyScraps-GI-E54 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, drag down so its just above the mask layer and position in the top, left hand corner.  Duplicate 4 times and position around the edges of your tag, you can mirror, flip and erase some if they are in the wrong place.  Apply the drop shadow to each layer.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, you can email me here and don't forget to send me your result, I love to see them and display them in the gallery!
