Love Addict

In this tutorial I used the amazing art of Screaming Demons.
I absolutely love Screaming’s art!
You need a license to use it, available here.

I used a FTU kit called “Love Overdose” by
Disturbed Scraps.
This is an awesome kit with loads of elements,
 thank you so much Gaby!
You can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Insatiable Dreams’s mask 565, here.

I used the front "All Hooked Up", here.

Your elements will need to be sharpened after resizing/rotating as this makes them a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and floodfill with white.

Open DBG – LO – Paper02 and copy.  Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 80%.

Open DBG – LO – 066 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 013 and paste as a new layer.  Rotate 45% to the left and resize 120%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 50%.

Open DBG – LO 003 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 57%, drag down below the tube and place in position.

Open DBG – LO – Paper09 and copy.  Select the interior of LO 003 with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and paste the paper into the selection, do not deselect.

Open your tube again and paste as a new layer, position inside the element resizing as needed (I resized 80%), invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Set the blend mode on the tube to “Overlay” and merge it down onto the paper layer below.  Go to Effects – Texture Effects – Blinds and apply with width set to 3, opacity 40, colour black and both Horizontal and Light from Left/Top boxes checked.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open DBG – LO – 009 and paste as a new layer making sure its just below the main tube.  Resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 062 and paste as a  new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 065, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Flip, resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 033 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and place both elements into position.  Duplicate again, drag down below the other two copies and position in the centre of them but slightly higher.  Apply the drop shadow to all copies.

Open DBG – LO – 042 and paste as a new layer making sure it’s on the top.   Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 038 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55% and rotate 10 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 019 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 024 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 039 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 028 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open DBG – LO – 045 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, when you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
