Lucky You

In this tutorial I have again used Elias Chatzoudis’ new St. Patty’s Day tube.
You need a license to use Elias’ art, available here.

This time I used a really pretty kit called “Lucky You” by
There are some lovely elements in this kit, you can get it here.

You will also need a mask, I used Weescotslass’ mask 117, here.

Font is Wonderlust, here.

As always, my reminder to you to sharpen up those elements after resizing/rotating as it makes them a little blurry; check out my Tips and Tricks page for more info.

I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal 2,  opacity 75, blur 5.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and floodfill with white.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_pp4 and copy.   Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Resize 90%.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_clovers 4 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, position on the right hand side and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_rainbow and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, rotate 20 degrees to the left and place in position.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_greenery and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_frame 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, rotate 15 degrees to the right and place in position.   We will come back to this.

Open your main tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Now you have your main tube and the frame in position, go back to the frame and select the interior of it, expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and fill with a dark green, I used #0d310d.   Open your tube again or the close up if you have one and mirror it, paste as a new layer, resize as needed and position nicely in the frame, invert the select and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.  Lower the opacity of the tube to around 70 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_print 2 and paste as a new layer making sure its just below the main tube..  Resize 90% and place in position along the bottom of the frame.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_bow 5 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 75%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_flower 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 45% and duplicate.  Position one flower on the right above the bow and drag the second down so it’s just above the rainbow and position so it shows to the right of the frame.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_flower 3 and paste as a new layer.  Drag up so its just below the main tube, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_cupcake and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_pot of gold and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_flower 4 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open sb_pmt_lucky-you_hat and paste as a new layer.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments, when you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here.  As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
