About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.



Open a new transparent cavns 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open Paper6-GI_Nostalgia and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask. 

Open Tree-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 70% and move over to the left.

Open WordArt1-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as need, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 85%.

Open Lamp-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, drag below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Grass-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, erase the small tuft on the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open VinewGrapes-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Flowers-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open WineBottle-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Wine-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Frame6-Gi_Nostalgia, paste as a new layer, drag down below the bottle and place in position.  Using your freehand selection tool on rectangle, draw a rectangle through the frame, make a new layer below it, open Paper1-GI_Nostalgia and paste it into the selection.

Paste your tube again or the close up if you have one and position in the frame resizing as needed, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess, deselect.   I used the largest close up resized 80%.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and lower the opacity of the tube to around 25.

Open Cat-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Lantern1-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50%, drag down below the cat, place in position erasing the top of the chain and apply the drop shadow.

Open Clouds-GI_Nostalgia.  Resize 70%, drag up above the cat and place in position.

Open Flourette-GI_Nostalgia, paste as a new layer and bring up to just below the main tube.  Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Flower1-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Film-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Books-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new later.   Mirror, resize 30%, drag down below the lantern, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Feather-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 40%, drag down below the books, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open OuijaBoard-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.  Resize 22% and rotate 15 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Planchette-GI_Nostalgia and paste as a new layer.   Resize 20%, bring up above the books, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Leaves-GI_Nostalgia, drag up to below the glass, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Raven-GI_Nostalgia, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 28%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

 Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.  When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export as a png on a transparent background.
