Flirty

In this tutorial I used the art of
Amy Matthews.
You need a license to use Amy’s art,
available at

I used a very pretty kit called “Deeply in Love” by
The kit can be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used Big Mask 017 by
Vix.

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open pp1 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.  Duplicate and merge the top copy down onto the original copy.

Open e10 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, select the interior of the element with your magic wand and make a new layer below it,  expand the selection by 20 and paste the paper into it, deselect.   Apply the drop shadow to the element and merge it down onto the paper.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 90%.

Open el20 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, drag below the merged layer,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el13 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position both elements and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el18 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60%, drag below the hearts and position on the left, duplicate, move the duplicate over to the right and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el3 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 55% and duplicate, position one on the right just below the merged layer and the other on the left above the tube, apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el16 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80% and duplicate.  Mirror one copy and position below the merged layer on the right, rotate the second copy 10 degrees to the left and position on the left immediately above the tube.

Open el21 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80%, mirror, position between the merged layer and the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open el1 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70% and rotate 40 degrees to the right, position on the right (it should be below between el16 and el3), duplicate, flip the duplicate and move over to the left, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open el16 again and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el26, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.  Resize 60%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, position both and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el8 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70% and flip, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el17 and paste as a new layer.    Resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, drag below the gloves and the blue flower, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el19, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el4 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open el25 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40%, place in position, apply the drop shadow and erase some so it likes like it’s hooked around the frame.

Open el30 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, position just below the tube and apply the drop shadow.

Open el23a and paste as a new layer.   Resize 80%, duplicate a few times, mirror, flip, rotate the duplicates as you like and arrange around the edge of the tag just above the mask layer.  Apply the drop shadow to each copy.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.

I used an amazing kit called “Darkside of the Irish” by
You can purchase the kit from

You will also need a mask, I used mask 79 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before starting, thank you.

Unless otherwise noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 600 pixels and fill with white.

Open Paper5-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection and deselect.   Open the mask and rotate it 90 degrees to the right, minimise it and then apply it to your paper.

Open Stones-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Mirror and resize 90%.  Select the open section in the centre with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below it and fill with black.  Merge the stones down onto the black layer and apply the drop shadow.

Open your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 80%.

Open Skull-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Mirror, resize 30%, drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow,.

Open Clock-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Drag down below the skull, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Mushroom-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60% and duplicate, mirror the duplicate and resize it another 70%, place both mushrooms into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open Bottle-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 23%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Pent-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Book-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish,  paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 27% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Cat-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Lantern-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers so far and make any necessary adjustments.  I erased the small piece of stones that was showing by the book.

Open GlitterBacking-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 60%, drag down to above the mask and position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the right, erase any parts that stick out too far and apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open WordArt1-GI_Darkside of the Irish, duplicate and close the original.  Resize the word art 40% leaving the canvas the original size, sharpen it and then duplicate it.  On the original copy, apply a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 0, opacity 100, blur 15, colour white then duplicate this layer, apply a drop shadow to the original copy in black with the settings changed back, copy merged, paste on your tag and position, it should be just above the glitter backing.

Open Lawn-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75% and place in position.

Open your close up tube, paste as a new layer and drag up above the stones.   Change the blend mode to “Hard Light”, resize as needed, lower the opacity to around 80 and place in position.  I resized my tube 60%.  With your eraser on size 50 and opacity 10, erase any part of the tube that is over the edge of the opening in the stones and around any hard edges to blend them in.

Open Web-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Drag up above the skull, mirror, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Rainbow-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70%, rotate 20 degrees to the left and place in position.

Open Crows-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open Candle-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  Again use that eraser on a the low opacity and dab it around the bottom of the candle to blend it into the grass.

Open CandleSmoke-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.   Resize 70% and place in position.  I mirrored it so it wasn't covering the tube.

Open Spider-GI_DarksideOfTheIrish and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20%, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place both spiders into position and apply the drop shadow to each changing the vertical and horizontal to 2 and opacity to 5.

When you are all done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export as a png.

Purple Rain

The kit I used is “Purple Rain” by
This is a gorgeous kit and can be purchased at

You will also need a mask, I used mask 141 by

I used the font

Please check out my “About my tutorials” Page before starting, thank you.

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 650 pixels and fill with white.

Open pp9 and copy, make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the mask, duplicate, flip the duplicate and line up on the original copy, then it merge down.  Resize 95%.

Open  your tube and paste as a new layer, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized my tube 70%.

Open el30 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 75% and rotate 70 degrees to the right.  Select the interior of each section with your magic wand and expand the selection by 4, open and copy pp6, make a new layer below the element and paste the paper into the selection, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame, merge it down onto the paper, drag below the tube and place in position.

Open your text tool and using the font “Impact” (it’s a Window’s font) with no outline, type the words “purple rain”.   It doesn’t matter what colour you use.  Use the nodes while the font is still a vector to get it about the same size as mine.  When you are done convert to a raster layer and select, float and de-float it.  Open pp6, copy it and paste it as a new layer, resize it 75%  and position nicely on the text, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess paper.  Delete the original text layer, desaturate the text (Adjust – Hue and Saturation – Colorize with both settings on “0”), apply an Inner Bevel to the font with the setting as my screenshot below and then apply the drop shadow.

Open el27 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55% and rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el9 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 65%, drag down below the text, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el15 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45% and duplicate, place one copy below the merged film strip layer on the left and one above it on the right, apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Open e24 and paste as a new layer, it needs to be just below the tube.  Resize 80%, duplicate and mirror the duplicate, place both copies into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el7a and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el18 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el13, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 55% and duplicate, mirror the duplicate, move each element into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el2a and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% place in position on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and move over to the left, erase any parts that overlap and apply the drop shadow to both layers.

Copy and paste el24 again as a new layer, resize it 80% as before, drag down below the ribbon and place in position so just a little of the flowers show, erase the bottom part and apply the drop shadow.

Open el23, paste as a new layer and bring to the top.   Resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el7 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35% and duplicate, place both flowers into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el12 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el25 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 40% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Open el17 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 42%, drag down below the flower, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments.

Open el6 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 35% and rotate 30 degrees in either direction, duplicate, mirror the duplicate, place both butterflies into position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Open el11 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 35% and apply the drop shadow, place in position erasing some so it’s hooked over the wording.

Open el26 and paste as a new layer.   Resize 50% and drag right down to just above the mask layer and position on the left, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the right.  Apply the drop shadow to both layers.
