About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I used the really beautiful kit “Time to Say Goodbye” from

I used Mask 2 from the freebie “Burning Love” from

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical and horizontal 5, opacity 55, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 800 pixels and fill with white.

Paste the mask and resize it 28%.  Select the mask, float and defloat it, make a new layer and paste paper 10 into the selection, deselect, delete the original mask layer and use your pick tool to stretch the paper mask layer a little longer.

Paste element 41, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste frame 4 and resize 45%.   Select the interior of the frame with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the frame and paste paper 6 into the selection.    Paste the tube, position in the frame, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect.  Apply the drop shadow to the frame and the tube, merge the frame down onto the tube,  merge down again onto the paper and move into position.

Paste the tube again, resize 40%,  place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 30, resize 110% and rotate 40 degrees to the right, drag below the  merged layer, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 3 and duplicate.  Resize one copy 35 and rotate 20 degrees to the right, mirror the second copy and resize it 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 19, resize 40%, place in position above the merged layer and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 47, resize 45% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 32, resize 20% and rotate 20 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 14, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 4, resize 40%, duplicate and close the duplicate off for now.   Rotate the original 70 degrees to the right, drag below the group of flowers, place in position and apply the drop shadow.   Open the copy, mirror it and rotate 70 degrees to the left, place in position erasing the top leaf and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8 on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments.

Paste element 25, resize 35%, position below the flowers and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 55%, position above the fern and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 36, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1 (I re-coloured it to better suit my tag), resize 50% and duplicate.   Mirror one copy and position it above the small tube, place the second copy below the small tube along the top of the merged layer.

When you are done, crop your tag, add your copyright information and text, then export on a transparent background as a png.
