About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

You will need my mask

I used animation 258c
 from Simone at
(Search for Stars and More Stars)

Font is

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5 opacity 85, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 4 into the selection, apply the mask and resize it 90%.

Paste frame 3, resize 55% and position on the left.  We will come back to this later as we will need to make it wider.

Paste clock, resize 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste clock 2, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste the tube, resize 55%, recolour, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Get your layers so far into position using your Pick tool on the frame to stretch it out wider.  Select the interior of the frame with you magic wand, expand the selection by 30, paste paper 2 below the frame and move into position, invert the selection and hit delete, deselect and apply the drop shadow to the frame.

Paste glitter below the frame and paper, resize 90%, duplicate, merge the top copy down onto the original, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste spiderweb just below the tube, resize 65%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste clock 3, place in position, erase the bottom part and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 2, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste car, resize 45% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste butterfly, resize 45% and rotate 40 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste lantern on the top, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste bottle, resize 25%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste heart pillow, resize 45%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste flower 4, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste deco, resize 30% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste twig, resize 55% and rotate 90 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste button, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste heart, resize 55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste marble, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste button 2, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments, they crop your tag and add your copyright information and text.

Animation:

Starting from the top, close off all your layers down to and including the car and merge the rest visible.  Close off the merged layer, open the other closed ones and again merge visible.

Open Simone’s animation in Animation Shop.  You will see it has 16 frames.  Copy your bottom merged tag layer,  paste it in Animation Shop “As a new animation” and then duplicate it so it also has 16 frames.  Activate the animation and go to Edit – Select all – Edit – Copy, click on the first frame of your tag layer and again go to “Edit – Select all”, right click and “Paste into selected frame” pasting the animation on your tag.  Now in Paint Shop copy the top merged layer of your tag, again paste it in Animation Shop “As a new animation”, duplicate it as before then select and copy all these frames and paste them on your tag.

When you are done, run your tag through the Optimization Wizard and save it as gif.
