Lost Paradise

In this tutorial I used the art of
I purchased my tube from PSP Tubes Emporium
but Elias now sells his tubes at

I used another fabulous freebie kit
From

You will need my mask

I used the Windows font
Impact.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal  5, opacity 45, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 750 and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 2 into the selection, deselect, apply the mask and resize 85%.

Paste element 36, resize 60% and place in position.

Paste element 32, resize 150% and place in position.

Paste element 10, resize 50% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 48, resize 50% and place in position.

Paste the tube, resize as needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow.  I resized mine 70%.

Paste element 25, resize 95%, drag below the tube and place in position.

Paste element 47, resize 30% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 61, resize 10%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 24, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 40% and rotate 70 degrees to the left,  duplicate and mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 64, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 26, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 1, resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 46 on the top, resize 7%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 18, resize 13%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 19, resize 20% and mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 21, resize 13%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 62, resize 13% and mirror, duplicate, resize the copy another 90%, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 37, resize 75% and place in position.

Check your layers now and make any adjustments.

Duplicate element 32 and bring the copy to the top without moving it, lower the opacity to 50 and erase the large wave on the left, lower the opacity of the eraser to blend it in.  You just want a bit of blue covering that white surf.  When you are happy with it, merge the blue wave down onto the white surf.

Add your copyright information and text.  Make sure that your copyright layer and the merged wave/surf layer are the top two layers.

Animation:

Click on the tube to activate it, open your Freehand Selection tool with the settings in my screenshot below and draw a selection around the top of it cutting through the tubes tail running through the merged wave/surf layer so that the join will be hidden by it.

Now right click on the tube in your layers palette and go to “Promote Section to Layer”, go back to the original tube layer in the layers palette, right click and hit “delete”.

Close off all layers from the top right down to the top part of the tube.  Open the copyright layer and drag it down until it’s at the top of the open layers and then “merge visible.  Copy this merged layer and paste it in Animation Shop.

Close off the merged layer, keep the wave/surf layer closed and starting below that layer, merge the other layers down onto each other.  It’s important you do it this way and not merge visible as that will cause you to have a different effect on the animation.

Copy this merged layer and also paste it in Animation Shop “As a new animation”.  Go to Effects – Insert Image Effect, choose “Underwater” from the drop down menu and apply the effect with the settings in my screenshots below.  It doesn’t matter too much about the waves, just do them roughly like mine or do your own to make a different effect.  You will have 13 frames in the animation, the first one will have no effect on it so it needs to be deleted.

Duplicate your first merged background layer that you put in Animation shop until you have 12 copies then copy the animation and paste it onto the background frames joining up the tail.  To do this you need to activate the animation, go to File – Select All – File – Copy, click on the first background frame, go to File – Select All then right click and paste the animation “Into Selected Frame”.

Go back into Paint Shop, open the merged wave/surf layer, copy it and paste it in Animation Shop.  Again duplicate this until you have 12 frames and paste it onto your animation.

When you are done, run your tag through the Animation Wizard and save as a gif.
