About Me
- Vivienne
- Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I
used the art of Pinuptoons.
You need a license to
use Pinuptoons' art,
I purchased mine at
CILM but they are now available here.
I used a gorgeous kit
called “Sweet Lemonade” by
You can get the kit
here.
You will also need a
mask,
I used Weescotslass’
mask 84, here.
Font used is AL Boogie Woogie, here.
Remember to sharpen up your elements after resizing/rotating
to take away the blurriness it causes, check out my Tips and Tricks page for
more info.
I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal
2, opacity 70, blur 5.
Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood
fill with white.
Open one of the papers and copy, I used
sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_pp12. Make a new
layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper in the selection, deselect
and apply the mask. Resize 85%.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_frame 2 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 60% and rotate 10 degrees
to the right, move over a little to the right.
Open the paper again or choose another, I used the same
one. Select the interior of the frame
with your magic wand and expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below the
frame layer and paste the paper into the selection. Do not de-select.
Open your tube, mirror it, copy and paste as a new layer,
resize if necessary and position inside the frame, invert the selection and hit
delete to remove the excess tube, de-select.
Apply the drop shadow to both the tube and the frame layers and lower
the opacity on the tube to around 55.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_greenery 2 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 70% and rotate 90 degrees
to the left, drag down to above the mask layer, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_flower 4 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 70%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open your tube again, undo the mirror, copy and paste it as
a new layer and bring it to the top, resize as needed, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_sign and paste as a new layer. Resize 30% and rotate 10 degrees to the left,
drag down below the tube, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_splat and paste as a new
layer. Flip, resize 70%, place in
position and apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_leaves and paste as a new
layer. Resize 60%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_flower 3 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 40%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_lemon 2 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 40% and rotate 30 degrees
to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_lemon 3 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 50%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_lemon 1 and paste as a new
layer. Resize 45%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_ribbon 4 and paste as a new
layer. Mirror, resize 55%, drag down
below the three lemons, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_drink 1, paste as a new layer and bring to the top. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open sb_pmt_sweet-lemonade_dragonfly and paste as a new
layer. Resize 25% and duplicate, place
both dragonflies in position and apply the drop shadow to each.
Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary adjustments. When you are happy, crop your tag and add your copyright information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a transparent background as a png.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions, please email me here. As always, I would love to see your result and include it in the gallery!
