About Me
- Vivienne
- Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I
used the art of Keith Garvey.
You need a license to
use Keith's art.
I purchased my
license for this tube from My PSP Tubes
but they are now
available at Keith's store here.
Again I have used the
awesome kit "Posh" by
SkyScraps and made a
totally different looking tag
from my first
tutorial!
You can get the kit here.
You will also need
a mask, I used Weescotslass' mask 84,
here.
Font of choice, I used Ammonite,
here.
My usual reminder to you to sharpen up those elements after
resizing/rotating as otherwise they will be a little blurry; for more info,
check out my Tips and Tricks page.
I used a drop shadow throughout of vertical and horizontal
2, opacity 85, blur 5.
Open a new transparent canvas 600 by 600 pixels and flood
fill with white.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-pp5 and copy. Make a new layer on your canvas, select all, paste the paper into
the selection, deselect and apply the mask.
Resize 95%.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E89 and paste as a new layer. Resize 55%, move up and to the right and
apply the drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E58 and paste as a new layer. Resize 45% and move over to the left.
Open your main tube and paste as a new layer, resize as
needed, place in position and apply the drop shadow. I resized my tube 85%.
Go back to E58 and select the interior of each part with
your magic wand then expand the selection by 5, make a new layer below it and
fill with a dark colour from your tube, I used #3c1b10, deselect.
Now select just the top part of E58 and again expand the
selection by 5. Open your tube again or
the close up if you have one, mirror it, copy and paste as a new layer, resize
and place in position, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess
tube, deslect. I used the largest close
up resized 60%.
Repeat the above steps with each part of E58. In the centre section I undid the mirror and
resized the tube 80% and in the bottom section, again I mirrored the tube and
resized it 50%.
When you have all your close up tubes in place, lower the
opacity of each to around 65 and apply the drop shadow to the frame.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E73 and paste as a new layer. Resize 70% and drag down so its just above
E89 and duplicate, place both flowers into position and apply the drop shadow
to each.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E60 and paste as a new layer. Drag up so
its just below your main tube, resize 50%, place in position and apply the drop
shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E90 and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E83 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E71 and paste as a new layer. Resize 55% and rotate 15 degrees to the
right, drag down below E83 (the glass), place in position and apply the drop
shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E78 and paste as a new layer. Resize 60%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E50 and paste as a new layer. Flip, resize 40%, place in position, erase
the part of the hanger that shows and apply the drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E2 and paste as a new layer. Drag up above the glass and place in
position, erase some so the beads are wrapped around the glass stem.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E9 and paste as a new layer. Resize 30%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E91 and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E44 and paste as a new layer. Resize 15% and duplicate twice, place in
position and apply the drop shadow to each.
Open SkyScraps-Posh-E92 and paste as a new layer. Resize 50%, drag right down until its just
above the mask and place in position so the bundles show on the bottom, left
hand side.
Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary
adjustments, when you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright
information and text, then export as a jpeg with compression set to 5 or on a
transparent background as a png.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you have any questions,
you can email me here, as always, I would love to see your result and include
it in the gallery!
