About Me
- Vivienne
- Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

In this tutorial I
used the art of
Barbara Jensen.
This tube is
called “Cararet” from
Layered pack 43 and is available at
I used a gorgeous
kit called “Harlot” by
I love this kit
and the gorgeous colours!
Check out Vicki’s
site for information on
where to purchase
her kits.
You will also need
a mask, I used mask 565 by
I used the font
Please check out my “About my tutorials” page before
starting, thank you.
Unless otherwise noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical
and horizontal 5, opacity 80, blur 10.
Open a new transparent canvas 650 by 555 pixels and fill
with white.
Open gemini_harlot_p6 and copy, make a new layer on your
canvas, select all, paste the paper into the selection, deselect and apply the
mask. Resize 90%.
Open gemini_harlot_e22, paste as a new layer and resize
75%. Select the interior of the element
with your magic wand and expand the selection by 10, make a new layer below it and fill with black,
deselect.
Open your tube and paste as a new layer, position in the
frame resizing as needed and apply the drop shadow. If you are using one of Barbara’s layered
tubes, open it and close the original, pick your layer options and copy
merged. I resized my tube 65% and did some re-colouring which Barbara
allows.
Duplicate your tube, resize it smaller, drag down below
the main tube, duplicate and position in the frame as in my tag. Again, select the interior of the frame and
expand it as before, invert the selection and delete the excess on the two
smaller tubes, deselect. Reduce the
opacity on these two tubes to around 35 and apply the drop shadow to the frame
then repeat the drop shadow changing the vertical and horizontal to -5. I resized my tubes another 75%.
Open gemini_harlot_e7 and paste as a new layer. Resize 55%, drag down to above the mask,
place in position and apply the drop shadow (remember to change those settings
back).
Open gemini_harlot_e4 and paste as a new layer. Resize
75% and rotate 30 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop
shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e28 and paste as a new layer. Mirror, resize 50%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e53 and paste as a new layer. Resize
55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e25 and paste as a new layer. Resize
40%, drag down below the corset, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e26 and paste as a new layer. Resize also 40%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_60 and paste as a new layer. Drag up above the corset, resize 40% and position
on the right, duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the left, apply
the drop shadow to each layer changing the vertical and horizontal to 1 and
opacity to 3.
Open gemini_harlot_e58 and paste as a new layer. Drag up to just below the main tube, resize
80% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow
(remember to change the settings back).
Open gemini_harlot_e61, paste as a new layer and bring to
the top. Resize 50%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e27 and paste as a new layer. Resize
50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open Gemini_harlot_e34, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e48 and paste as a new layer. Resize
55%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlow_e49 and paste as a new layer. Resize
50%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e47 and paste as a new layer. Resize 30%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e45 and paste as a new layer. Resize 30%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow.
Open gemini_harlot_e6 and paste as a new layer. Resize
65%, drag down below the last four elements and position on the left, duplicate
and move the duplicate over to the right, erase any parts that overlap hiding
the join behind one of the elements on top and apply the drop shadow to both
layers.
Open gemini_harlot_e10 and paste as a new layer. Flip
and resize 50%, position on the left.
Duplicate this element a couple of times, mirror and flip one of the
copies and position as in my tag hiding joins as before. Apply the drop shadow to each layer.
Check the positions of your layers and make any necessary
adjustments.
Open gemini_harlot_e37 and paste as a new layer. Resize
80%, drag down to just above the mask and place in position on the right. Duplicate
and position so a little shows at the bottom.
Open Gemini_harlot_e38 and paste as a new layer. Resize 75% and position on the left. Apply the drop shadow to all layers with the
vertical and horizontal changed to 2 and opacity to 5.
