About Me
- Vivienne
- Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I used mask 1 by
You will need
Animation Shop for the animation.
Font of choice.
Unless noted, I used a drop shadow of vertical 0,
horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.
Open a new transparent canvas 750 by 800 pixels and fill with
white.
Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the
selection, deselect and apply the mask.
Paste element 12, resize 60% and move into position.
Open the PSD file of animation 1, copy one of the frames
and paste it on your canvas, resize it 95%, place in position and apply the
drop shadow. You can delete the PSD file
from Paint Shop now as we will be using the Mng file in the tag.
Paste spray 11, resize 80% and place in position.
Paste the shortened version of the tube, resize 80%, place
in position and apply the drop shadow.
My tube kept sticking to another element so selected all, floated and defloated the tube, promoted it
to another layer and deleted the original.
Paste frame 3, resize 25% and rotate 80 degrees to the
left, drag below the tube and move into position. Select the interior of the
element with your magic wand, expand the selection by 20, make a new layer below
the frame and paste Glitter into the selection.
Paste the tube again, position
in the frame, invert the selection, hit delete on the tube to remove the excess
and deselect. On the tube go to Adjust –
Hue and Saturation – Colourize, set both values to 0 and apply then change the blend
mode to “Overlay”. Apply the drop shadow
to the frame.
Paste element 4, resize 80% and place in position.
Paste element 3a, resize 25%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 58, resize 70%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow changing the horizontal to 2 and blur to 5.
Paste element 70, resize 35% and position on the left,
duplicate, mirror the duplicate and position on the right, duplicate the copy, position
behind the tube and apply the drop shadow to each (remember to change back the
settings).
Paste element 69, resize 45%, drag below the right hand
copy of element 70, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 48, resize 35%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 49, resize 25%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste wordart 5a on the top, resize 65%, place in
position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 62, resize 30%, drag below the wordart, place
in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 15c, resize 25%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 81, resixe 25%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 80, resize 25%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 118, resize 40% and mirror, place in
position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 96, resize 25%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 79 and resize 35%, drag below the blue flowers
and heart, duplicate, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each
Paste element 63a below the wordart, resize 35% and
rotate 10 degrees to the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 41b, resize 30% and place in position.
Paste element 98 on the top, resize 17%, place in
position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 7, resize 15% and mirror, place in position
and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 104, resize 40% and rotate 10 degrees to
the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 61, resize 20%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 33b, resize 15%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 60b, resize 25%, place in position and
apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 34, resize 23%, place in position and apply
the drop shadow.
Paste element 115, resize 15%, duplicate, mirror the
copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.
Paste element 22, resize 17% and rotate 110 degrees to
the right, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Paste element 23, resize 17% and rotate 90 degrees to the
left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.
Check your layers now and make any adjustments.
Paste spray 10 on the top, resize 60% and mirror, place
in position and erase the ones across her face (I positioned this element so a
large clump of sparkles was on her arm and also cloned in a few more sparkles as
the gif optimization went speckly there and I wanted to cover it as much as
possible, this meant I had to erase a bit of the sparkle from the top. Change your background colour to a dark one
so you can see it properly).
When you are done, crop your tag and add your copyright
information and text.
ANIMATION:
Click on the animation frame layer, merge it down and
continue to merge down until you have all the layers below it on one
layer. Close off this merged layer and
merge the other layers visible.
Open the bottom merged layer, copy it and paste it in
Animation Shop as “a new animation”.
Open the mng copy of the animation in Animation Shop and resize it 95%
(Animation – Resize animation). The
animation has 30 frames so we need to duplicate our bottom merged layer until
we have 30 frames in that also.
Select all the animation frames and copy them (Edit – Select all – Edit –
Copy) then select all the bottom layer frames and paste the animation onto the
bottom layer frames exactly over the one that is already there.
Back in Paint Shop, copy the top merged layer, paste it
in Animation Shop as “a new animation”, duplicate it so you have the 30 frames,
select and copy them all and paste on your tag.
Check your animation is running properly and then run it
through the Optimization Wizard and save as a gif.
