About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Vivienne, living in the UK and married with a son who now lives in Perth, Australia and a daughter who has given me two gorgeous grandsons! Paint Shop has been my hobby for more years than I can remember and I love making tags. I have always loved doing tutorials written by others and a couple of years ago started writing them myself. As well as tag tutorials, I also have a Tips and Tricks page where you will find tutorials on basic Paint Shop techniques. I hope you enjoy my blog and have fun with my tutorials. Please be sure also to check out the Tag Gallery and see some of the awesome results to the tutorials!

I used a fabulous freebie kit called “Black and Red” from
Graphic of Fantasy have some awesome freebie kits!
You can pick up this one

You will need my mask

Font of choice.

I used a drop shadow of vertical 0, horizontal 5, opacity 75, blur 10.

Open a new transparent canvas 700 by 750 pixels and fill with white.

Make a new layer, select all, paste paper 6 into the selection, deselect and apply the mask.

Paste frame 4 and resize 70%.   Click anywhere on the canvas outside of the frame with your magic wand to make a selection, invert the selection and contract it by 10, make a layer below the frame and paste paper 4 into the selection.  Paste the tube, resize 85%, position in the frame, invert the selection, hit delete and deselect.  Erase the part of the paper layer and that of the tube that is inside the hook at the top of the frame and apply the drop shadow to the tube and the frame.  Close off the white background and mask layers, merge visible and re-open the closed layers.

Paste element 29, resize 65%, drag below the merged layer, duplicate and mirror the copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 30 on the top,  resize 30%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 8, resize 75%, duplicate and rotate the copy 90 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 55, resize 75% duplicate and mirror one copy, place in position and apply the drop shadow to each.

Paste element 6, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 7, resize 60%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 10, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 39, resize 40% and rotate 20 degrees to the left, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 36, resize 35%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 37, mirror, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 43, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 34, resize 70%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 44, resize 20%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Paste element 41, resize 40%, place in position and apply the drop shadow.

Check your layers and make any adjustments, then crop your tag, add your copyright information and text and export on a transparent background as a png.
